What is Hotels Helping Heroes?

Established in 2014, our family brand of online trade platforms -Ignite Hospitality Services, The Hotel Barter Network, and Hotels Helping Heroes- provide personalized opportunities for individuals  to use   services and /or goods as leverage to trade out for guest rooms at  brand hotels throughout the US.

What Can I Offer A Hotel?

So 1st let’s define what trade is exactly-In a nutshell, trade or barter is simply the exchange of something that you have for something that you want. Our trade friendly  hotel partners are open to anything that will bring something of value to their property in lieu of currency. If the offer of service(s) and / or good(s) makes sense then our hotel affiliate will happily trade you for one of their unoccupied guest room(s). The type of trade you offer should be commensurate with the number of nights and rooms required. On average our clients require 1 guest room for 1 to 2 nights;. A feasible trade offer to a hotel partner would be something along the lines of a comprehensive virtual and/ or traditional marketing package, such as  social media promos, blogging, podcast plugs, radio, etc. Please be advised  that any form of  advertisement is expected to be professional,and turned in within 3 to 5 business stays of your stay. Notably, I would advise reaching out to us prior to filling out the trade form if you’re not quite sure how the trade process works, or if you require an extended number of rooms and / or evenings at a property.

How Does Your Pricing Work?

Hotel’s Helping Heroes are  advocates for both client and hotel partner. We take a hands on approach to ensure all trades are mutually beneficial. To ensure successful tades we have some overhead to deal with. Therefore, a transaction fee for a percentage of the true trade value of the room and/or guest accommodations. Check out the Pricing page for more detail.Please note: any payments made to Hotels Helping Heroes are to be made through Paypal.


Who Can Use This Service?

Hotels Helping Heroes is opened to former and current military servicemen and women only Notably, we have  extended this service to immediate family members as well. If you have a vacation coming up, are relocating, traveling for  bereavement, etc. Hotels Helping Heroes is ready to assist!

How Long Does It Take To Secure A Guest Room(s) On Trade?

Established in 2014We strive to have a quick turn around with a response. Uusally you’ll hear back from us within 3 to 5 business days letting you know if a successful match was made with one of our trade friendly hotel partners. Much depends on the turn around time- location, time of year, trade offer, etc. If a successful trade is made we will connect you with our hotel partner through email. Information included will be the room confirmation number, trade agreement, hotel address w/ phone, and what your savings is. Please keep in mind the majority of brand hotels require a credit card on file to cover incidentals like room service. Do You Offer Refunds?

If for whatever reason you need to cancel a room please notify us within 3 to 5 days of your stay. We will be more then happy to issue you a trade credit of equal value to be put towards future trades with Hotels Helping Heroes.

What's a 1099B Form ?

Many people are not aware that the benefits derived from trade or barter transactions are taxable and must be reported to the Internal Revenue Service on IRS Form 1099-B and your state tax return. The IRS and your state maintain websites where you can download income tax forms to report barter income. Generally, whatever property or services that you barter for amount to taxable income based on the fair market value (FMV) of the property or services received by the taxpayer.

How Many Days Advance Notice Should I Give?

Please give us a 5 to 7 day advance notice for guest room requests.
